After closing of the investment, CMP actively accompanies management during the company's turnaround. Here, CMP supports management, if required, with staff experienced in the area of restructurings. Moreover, the supervisory board or the advisory board of the company are usually supplemented by professionals from CMP’s network. In order to ensure swift success of the restructuring, a project organisation is established consisting of a steering committee as well as several project teams. The project teams are responsible for the actual realisation of individual measures within a given period. The restructuring process is monitored by tight project controlling in order to guarantee a swift and successful realisation.

The transition from recapitalisation and restructuring to subsequent management and control is fluent. After termination of the restructuring projects, the company is supposed to quickly stabilize its operative processes and to completely focus on customers and markets. Generally, CMP has already largely reduced the intensity of their support by this phase. After complete recovery of the company, the opening up of new markets and business areas through organic growth or the acquisition of companies are the centre of further corporate development. If required, CMP can support management in the acquisition of companies or with the filling of key positions and can provide their own network. Moreover, CMP is at the management’s disposal as a “sparring partner“ for strategic questions.

CMP’s involvement in a company is limited in time. The sale prospects for CMP's participation is therefore part of a periodic analyses process and integral to CMP's investment management. In this context, the best method of divestment is examined as well as which options are best suited for the company's future development.
